Firehouse Expo 2016, Nashville, TN
Worked by Mark McColman and Mary Harris on October 16th -20th, 2016
Overview
Salamander Technologies was invited by the Tennessee Fire Chiefs, the Greater Nashville Mutual Aid District, and Firehouse Magazine to provide accountability at the 2016 Firehouse Magazine Expo held in Nashville, Tennessee. Expected attendance for the expo included over 1500 students, instructors, and staff. Salamander Technologies Intelligent AccountabilityTM solutions was a welcome addition to the expo to both showcase and exercise its accurate methods in tracking and accountability.
Solution
At the expo, Salamander pre-credentialed, with hard cards, more than 816 personnel from Hands-On Training students, instructors, and staff. The Incident Management Team was also able to account, track, and report, simultaneously, over 458 students and instructors from four different locations. Salamander used and linked three of the COMMAND solutions to give the Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Salamander Commands an operational window, giving them complete situational awareness. Attendees were credentialed on-site, as well, producing scene-specific hard I. D. cards. The 02 Track APP was utilized to move resources to their assignments, and track off-scene recording and reporting 1,720 assignment movements throughout the expo.
Outcome
Using Salamander Technologies Intelligent AccountabilityTM suite, the IMT staff incorporated information from Salamander’s solutions into their Incident Action Plan in an accurate and timely manner, and commanders were able to review the progress of the accountability solutions, using their SalamanderLiveTM Dashboard.
