Michigan State University Game
Worked in conjunction with Richardson Business Solutions on October 15, 2016
Overview
On October 15, 2016, Salamander Technologies and Richardson Business Solutions assisted the Michigan State University Police Department with the MSU vs Northwestern game held at the Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. The objective of this event was to track all volunteer, student, and public safety worker activity.
Solution
Michigan State University Police Department was able to account, track, and report over 2000 volunteers and public safety workers at the Spartan Stadium using Salamander’s Intelligent AccountabilityTM suite. First responders on-site were credentialed using several RAPID TAG stations, producing scene specific hard I.D. cards. RAPID TAG stations were linked with COMMAND to provide a full operational picture to the EOC and the Campus Mobile Command vehicle. The 01 TAG APP in conjunction with GIS MAPPING accessed through SalamanderLiveTM was instrumental in to precisely pinpoint mobile law enforcement in real-time, allowing for a fast and adequate response. The 02 Track APP was utilized to move resources to their assignments and off scene.
Outcome
With Salamander's solutions, IMT staff incorporated recorded information into their Incident Action Plan accurately and timely. Commanders could review the progress of the accountability solutions in real-time using the SalamanderLiveTM Dashboard.
